Manure drying
The innovative drying systems from ITB Climate is the energy efficient, integral solution for manure processing or efficient drying of biological materials. Drying of manure from poultry, pigs, cows and almost
all other animals is possible. The drying system of ITB Climate can also be applied for drying biomass, wood chips and sewages sludge.
Unique concept
The drying system from ITB climate is a unique concept in which maximum drying efficiency at minimal costs and emission are achieved. The system is custom designed fitting for the specific needs and drying material. By applying high grade materials which have proven sustainable quality in both the agricultural and industrial branches, a long lifespan is guaranteed.
Working principle
The complete drying concept is enabled by a combination of different techniques. The material that is to be dried is spread over the perforated stainless steel conveyer belt by a divider. Heating up to 75ºC takes place through a biosmass burner with multicyclone. The warm is blown into the dryer from below, so at the end of the conveyer belt. The air from the drying is brought over the air/air heat exchanger, the intake air passing the exchanger also serves as a heat source for the dryer. Dust, odor and ammonia in the finished air are subsequently washed by an airscrubber.
Drying principal
The manure or biological material to be dried is brought into the dryer from the top on a conveyor belt. The belt transports the material through the dryer while 75ºC warm air is blown over it. This drying method works according to the thermal countercurrent principal. There are no diseases through hygienisation, thereby making the end product suitable for export.
Heat recovery
Heat from the dryer is recovered through a heat exchanger, achieving upto 75% thermal efficiency. The energy costs can thereby be reduced upto 30%. Emission of finedust and ammonia is also reduced through the application of a heat exchanger. The tube exchanger is produced completely from plastic and is resistant to harmfull substances in the air. The heat exchanger is self-cleansing, low in maintenance and easy to service.
Biosmassa burner
The biosmass burner with multicyclone achieves efficiencies upto 90%. Combustion with biomass burners is CO2 neutral and a cheap form of fuel. Subsidies for biomass burners might apply, varying per region.
Air scrubber
The biological airscrubber reduces 90% of ammonia emission and realizes a significant reduction of exhaust of smell and finedust. The completely of plastic produced system has a long lifespan and requires little maintenance.
